Having struggled to be active herself in the past, Helen is now leading the charge to boost physical activity in our patch.
A former Netball Development Officer and Sports Development Manager, Helen brings significant sports leadership experience. She manages our relationships with public health, clinical commissioning groups and the NHS. She’s also our main geographical link with the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Physical activity has recently become Helen’s friend again after years of not being very active when her children were young. She has found a community fit club where size, ability and what you wear doesn’t matter. There are still days when she would rather go home and veg on the sofa. But Helen knows that when she goes she feels much better afterwards.
