Development Officer (AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust)

AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust are looking for someone to be at the frontline of their programmes at their new multi-million Community Hub site based in Ringwood.

Remuneration: Circa £30,000 per year dependent on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week, including evening/weekend work
Purpose: To be responsible for the delivery of high quality football and physical activity sessions to based in and around our Ringwood Community Hub facility.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver high quality football and physical activity sessions
  • Generate interest and develop existing and new activities across the site for specific targeted groups
  • To take specific responsibility for work with grassroots football in increasing understanding and awareness of key issues and barriers i.e., disability and other under-represented groups
  • Contribute to raising the profile and the perception of the Community Sports Trust in leading and developing local opportunities across football and social development

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of coaching within football (Level 1 Award in Coaching Football or Intro to Coaching)
  • A passion for the community and making a difference
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative
