World Health Day on 7th April 2025 marks the beginning of a yearlong campaign about maternal and newborn health. If you’re a mum, here are some active opportunities that may support your wellbeing during this time across Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
Being a mum is quite the adventure – full of cuddles, chaos, and sometimes a serious lack of sleep! With so much going on, it can be tough to find time for yourself, let alone think about adding movement to your day.
But being active can boost your energy, mood, and overall well-being. And there are plenty of easy, fun ways to get moving with your little one in tow.
If you have children aged between 2 and 12, then Hampshire Healthy Steps may be the right group for you. They provide guidance, resources and support on healthy eating, how to move more, how to sleep well.
Interactive for you and your children, you’ll get the chance to connect with other parents who are on the same journey. It’s a great way to build confidence, get moving, and feel good in your body again.

Exercise doesn’t have to mean high impact and high intensity. A simple walk with others is great for your body and mind.
