The number of older adults is increasing significantly however with little increase in healthy life expectancy in prospect. This has huge implications for health and social care services. It doesn’t have to be this way. The evidence is strong that we can reduce the risk of falls, prevent and delay dementia, disability and frailty.
Getting older is something to be celebrated, with better health care and medicine we can live longer. There is a greater understanding of the impact that healthy lifestyles at all ages can have on our health and wellbeing later in life.
Live Longer better Hampshire aims to help older adults and thier families find ways to stay independent, live life to the full and keep doing what they love. In this short information session we aim to share more about the Hampshire Live Longer Better Programme and how as health providers you can support your community.
